Province responds to Property Rights Task Force recommendations
The Government of Alberta heard from hundreds of residents and stakeholders that the rights of property owners must be strengthened when industry, government or other third parties seek to access private lands for development or infrastructure purposes. More Alberta families to benefit from child care subsidies
Approximately 9,000 families will receive new or increased funding to help offset the cost of accessing quality child care, thanks to changes to the provincial child care subsidy program.
Government delivers on municipal funding for central Alberta
Budget 2012-13 provides $472.1 million for infrastructure and operating projects in municipalities outside Edmonton and Calgary through the province’s Municipal Sustainability Initiative (MSI). This year Alberta municipalities will share in $896 million from MSI, an increase of $10 million from last year. One of the 2011 projects approved for MSI funding is a paving project in Red Deer for $5.5 million.

More health care options for Albertans with expanded role for pharmacists
Starting July 1, 2012, Albertans will have another option to get their prescriptions renewed. As part of the Alberta government’s investment in people and communities in Budget 2012, Albertans will be able to have their prescriptions renewed at their local pharmacies. Pharmacists will now be paid to provide the new service to all Albertans.

Mr. Dallas was elected to his first term as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Red Deer-South on March 3, 2008. On October 12, 2011, he was appointed Minister of Intergovernmental, International and Aboriginal Relations. He has previously served as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister Finance and Enterprise and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Environment.
In addition to his regular duties as MLA, he currently serves as a member of the Treasury Board, Operations Committee, and on the Cabinet Policy Committee for Energy.
